Music Scene: Week of June 25, 2010

Amory Sivertson’s original sound has been described as a mix between Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor. It combines the best elements of folk, pop, indie and rock and creates a fresh, toe-tapping sound.

Sivertson is a piano player and songwriter from Boston. Her first album, “La Di Da” won a 2008 EVVY Award for the original song, “Beautiful.”

Her second album, “How to Run Away” was inspired by her European travels and was given high praise by Northwest Performer Magazine.

Sivertson is on her first U.S. tour and will play at 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Coffee Muggers, 644 Main St. For information, go to
