Sleep. Drive. Rock ‘n’ roll. Repeat.

Not only is that the mantra for the rock band Hudson Falcons, it’s also the name of one of its songs.

Following the old-fashion route of touring, touring, touring (followed by repairing the van and more touring) the band will bring its current tour to the Grand Valley and will perform at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Cruisers Bar, 715 Horizon Drive.

“Born in the swamps of New Jersey, the Hudson Falcons are following a sound that can only be achieved by playing more than 1,200 shows from the Jersey Shore to Germany,” said the band’s profile on its Facebook page.

Formed more than a decade ago, the Hopatcong, N.J.-based rock band has released three albums: “Desperation and Revolution,” “Desire to Burn” and “Dancing Underneath the Moonlight.”

“The influences of the road have clearly found their way through the well-worn tires of the band van and into the Falcons’ music,” the profile said.

“More than ever, there are traces of South Texas and a little bit of heartland stomp mixing in with the New Jersey soul and swagger that has come to symbolize the Falcons and brought them a loyal following both in the United States and abroad.”

Go to the band’s Facebook page or call Cruisers at 314-2554 for information.
