VH1’s Rock of Love Tour planning Mesa Theater show on April 16

The Bret Michaels: VH1’s Rock of Love Tour stops in Grand Junction at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Mesa Theater and Club, 538 Main St.

Before the “Rock of Love” reality show, Michaels was best known as the front man for the rock band Poison with Top 40 singles including “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Something to Believe In,”
“Nothing But a Good Time” and the No. 1 hit “Every Rose Has its Thorn.”

The “Rock of Love” reality show featuring women competing for Michaels’ attention is in its third season and is the highest-rated series on VH1.

As an actor, Michaels has appeared on the television shows “Yes Dear,” “Martial Law” and “The Chris Isaak Show,” according to his Web site biography, bretmichaels.com. He also has co-hosted “Access Hollywood” and been a judge on “Nashville Star” program.

Michaels, a Type 1 diabetic, played for charity on “Don’t Forget the Lyrics,” winning $250,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Tickets to Thursday’s show in Grand Junction are $40. It’s an ages 18-and-older show.
