OA llux Column June 05, 2009

It seems someone is always coming up with a clever way to recycle, reuse and inject new life into old objects.

It is very difficult to stop consuming so, instead, why not shop for items that have been given a second life?

There are millions of options out there, but here are a few of my favorites.

Soda cans find a new purpose as a cool bracelet.

Magazine pieces look colorful and artistic when rolled into beads and strung together to make a necklace.

Old scarves cut apart and sewn back together make a beautiful patchwork purse.

Innovation is the key to turning discarded items into trendy accessories, so make your next purchase a recycled one.
