OA: Pollux Column November 07, 2008

This fall, birds of a feather do flock together, at least where fashion is concerned.

Feathers of ostrich and pheasant are adorning both accessories and clothing, creating a rich, bold style.

The runway looks are much more grand, with cropped jackets made of layers of feathers and evening bags of marabou.

The real life take is an edited version. A few pheasant feathers add dimension and interest to a headband or hat.

Another tamer option is a simple feather painted on accessories such as earrings or bracelets.

Fly high with the feather trend for fall as it is here to stay through the winter months.
