Wolves

Wolves are intelligent

and majestic creatures.

They are sneaky

and silent in the day.

They come out

at night and glide like birds

flying through the night’s sky.

Their paws are silent when they run.

You can’t spot them in the day,

but they can spot you.

And you can’t

hear them in the day, but

at night you can hear them howl.

Their howls are like a smooth

breeze flowing through the air above you.

They stand tall and proud.

— Alicia Knestis, 5th grade
