Tour 13 businesses in downtown Fruita as part of the Fruita Fourth Friday from 5–9 p.m. as musicians, artists, fashion designers and an author will show off their talents.

Among the businesses participating are restaurants, galleries, music venues and a clothing store.

Friday and Saturday, April 26–27

Dance in concert

Colorado Mesa University’s dance students will present their largest spring show and final large-scale dance concert of the school season during the “Spring into Dance” show at 7:30 p.m. Friday and again at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Theatre in the Moss Performing Arts Center’s, 1231 N. 12th St.

Tickets cost $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for students and are available by calling 248-1604.

Sunday, April 28

Canine on canvas

Bring your dog to The Blue Pig Gallery, 101 W. Third St., in downtown Palisade from noon to 4 p.m. for the second annual “Paint Your Pooch at the Pig” event to raise money for Roice-Hurst Humane Society.

Each pet portrait costs $40, and your dog will be painted in pastel by animal artists Kay Crane, Penny Creasy or Judy Rogan.

A portion of the profits from the pet portraits will go to Roice-Hurst.
