Sing out

The Grand Valley’s Got Talent concert at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Fruita Monument High School Auditorium, 1102 Wildcat Ave., will showcase some of the areas top singers.

The Bookcliff Barbershop Harmony Chorus and Quartets, Cover Charge Sweet Adelines Quartet, local youth choirs and singers from School District 51 schools will participate.

Admission is free and donations will be accepted to support area vocal programs.


Saturday, April 12

Close your eyes

The opportunity to experience a little bit of what life is like for those who are visually impaired is offered during the third annual Dine in the Blind from 5–9 p.m. at Center for Independence, 740 Gunnison Ave.

Those who attend will dine on Italian food while blindfolded. There also will be a live auction and dancing, sans blindfolds.

Cost is $20 in advance or $25 at the door per person. A cash bar will be available. Call 241-0315, ext. 23, for information.


Sunday, April 13

Bonus skate

Take the children to Rock and Roll at Spin City, 637 24 1/2 Road, from 4–8 p.m. to benefit the Western Slope Center for Children.

For $8 per child, kids can skate, have their face painted and be entered into prize drawings. Other activities are offered for a small additional cost. Call 245-3788 for information.
