Vote for art
Swing by the Blue Pig Gallery, 101 W. Third St., in Palisade and admire the artwork vying to represent 2017 Colorado Winefest.
There will be a reception with wine and food from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Friday at the gallery, where you can cast your vote for the piece of art you would like to see selected for Winefest.

Find something to admire at the KAFM Community Radio Gallery 88.1 Art Exhibit & Live Auction.
Get ready for the auction by previewing the 90 pieces of art from 5–7 p.m. Friday at KAFM, 1310 Ute Ave.
The art auction will begin with a champagne reception with wine and appetizers at 5 p.m. Saturday. The reception will be followed with the live auction at 7 p.m.
Absentee ballots can be found at kafmradio.org and pre-bids will be accepted.

Tickle the ivories
Sit back, relax and listen to a piano performance while learning about American music with the Piano Salon Series with Frank French at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts, 1803 N. Seventh St.
The four-part Piano Salon will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday with “The Ragtime Legacy of Scott Joplin.”
It will continue with “Black Composers in America” on Feb. 11, “Romantic Traditions” on March 11 and “The Latin Tinge” on April 8.
Single event tickets cost $15, or you can attend all four performances for $40.
French, former director of the Rocky Mountain Ragtime Festival, is a performer, composer, piano technician and teacher, according to gjartcenter.org.
