Music across time
A trio of musicians will perform a concert of piano and string music from four different centuries and four styles.
Aptly titled “Four Centuries, Four Styles, Two Genders,” this concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Love Recital Hall of Colorado Mesa University’s Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.
The concert features the CMU Faculty Piano Trio of pianist Arthur Houle, cellist Kristen Yeon-Ju Yun and violinist Frank Restesan.
Included on the program is an original piece by Houle titled “Under the Star,” a “highly lyrical and sentimental ‘tone poem’ suggestive of long wistful nights sleeping under the stars,” according to a news release from CMU.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors or $5 for students.
Call the box office at 248-1604 for tickets or information.
