Quick picks: Honey, theater and remodeling
Friday, March 1
Sweet as honey
Take in the sounds of Bill Powers and Shelley Gray, otherwise known as Honey Don’t, from 6–9 p.m. at Peach Street Distillers, 144 Kluge Ave., in Palisade.
Consider it an end-of-the-week Happy Hour of sorts.
Honey Don’t is one-half of the Paonia bluegrass band Sweet Sunny South.
Saturday, March 2
Break a leg
Take advantage of Grand Junction’s live theater scene. Check out On Stage on page 6 of Out & About to pick a show you and your family want to attend.
There’s a Colorado Mesa University’s full stage show, a Creative Avenues’ children’s show and Central High School’s Victorian or fantastical versions of “Alice in Wonderland.”
Friday through Sunday, March 1–3
The first day of spring is this month, so make plans for that spring-specific project you planned by checking out the Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Two Rivers Convention Center. More than 100 vendors will be on hand during the three-day event.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors/children or $15 for a family. (Immediate family members only.)
