An album of previously unreleased material from legendary musician Johnny Cash will go on sale more than 10 years after his death.
“Out Among the Stars” was recorded in the early-1980s on Columbia Records but the label never used it, according to Miriam Coleman’s recent article on rollingstone.com.
John Carter Cash, Cash’s son, and archivists at Legacy Recordings found the old recordings in 2012 “among Johnny and June Carter Cash’s vast archive of recordings and random souvenirs,” the article read.
Among the unreleased songs are duets with June Carter Cash and Waylon Jennings.
