Quick Picks: Rock the Bald; Dance Works Concert

Go for the music or go for the cause to Rock The Bald at 5 p.m. Saturday at Warehouse 25Sixty-Five, 2565 American Way.
Set to play are The Navigators, Bicycle Annie and Tim + Richard. There will be a silent auction and prizes and no cover charge to get in.
This event is a benefit for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which provides funding for childhood cancer research.
Plan ahead: The foundation’s local head-shaving event is set for June 24 at Lincoln Park Barn.

Get to the pointe
With a variety of dance styles (tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop and more) and guest dancers, the annual Dance Works Concert will be performed twice: at 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium at Palisade High School.
The show will feature a number of dads, brothers, grandfathers and uncles joining dancers for the “Dads’ Dance,” and 36 tappers dancing to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”
Dancers involved in the show range in age from 3 to 97.
Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for children and seniors, and can be purchased at danceworksgj.com.
