Sea monster

Get a never-before-seen glimpse at the sea creature Architeuthis — think sea Kraken from Norse legend or Scylla from Greek mythology — during the season finale of “Curiosity” on Discovery Channel. The episode is titled “Monster Squid: The Giant is Real.”

Late last year, a submersive caught video of the giant squad in its natural habit off the coast of Japan. It was a historical first, according to the Discovery Channel.

According to Jason Robey’s article on dsc.discovery.com, this footage is considered “the Holy Grail of natural history filmmaking.”

Check local listings for air time.
