Bell choir to perform at Methodist church
The Westminster Concert Bell Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 599 30 Road.
The choir comprises students from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J. who perform original works and arrangements of classics and hymns, plus contemporary works on the world’s largest range of handbells, eight octaves.
Ex-Major Leaguer featured at service
Local churches and organizations are collaborating to offer a worship service at 8 a.m. Sunday in the Lincoln Park bandstand area, the large grass area, south of Lincoln Park Barn.
Keynote speaker Brian Holman, a former baseball player with the Montreal Expos and the Seattle Mariners, will present the message “Keep Your Eyes on the Prize.”
Local musician David Jergensen will provide music.
The service will give visitors from out-of-town the opportunity to attend a worship service Sunday without having to get “dressed for church.”
The public, families, coaches, teams and fans are invited to come to the service in their JUCO attire. Free refreshments will be provided by Four Winds Coffee and Tea and Daylight Donuts.
Victory Life sets annual JUCO service
Victory Life Church, 2066 U.S. Highway 6&50, will have its annual JUCO Baseball Sunday at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Pastor Bob Cook will preach his baseball sermon while dressed in a baseball uniform. An on-the-grounds picnic will take place after the service, with food and activities for children and adults.
Free child care will be available during the service.

Church of Christ Bible school set June 3
Grand Junction Church of Christ, 2893 Patterson Road, will host a vacation Bible school from 6–8 p.m. June 3–7.
Participants will take a thrill ride through God’s creation (including dinosaurs) at “Incrediworld Amazement Park.”

Oneness Meditation to be Thursday
The Oneness Meditation, facilitated by Julia Desmond and Sandy Fuller of Aspen, will be offered from 6:30–9 p.m. Thursday at the Lakeside Community Room, 3150 Lakeside Drive, No. 103.

Methodist Church to have yard sale
Crossroads United Methodist Church’s 38th annual yard sale is set for 7 a.m.–5 p.m. May 30–31 and 8 a.m.–noon June 1 at 599 30 Road.
There will be indoor and outdoor shopping for all ages. A variety of items will be for sale, as well as baked goods, to support the ministry of the church.
