Several events to raise money for worthy causes scheduled

Keep the fundraising efforts of several Grand Valley organizations in mind when considering your calendar.

HomewardBound of the Grand Valley’s annual fundraiser will be Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Whitman Educational Center, 248 S. Fourth St.

“Journey Home” will open at 5 p.m. with “See the Faces and Hear the Stories of Our Homeless,” a photography exhibit with recorded interviews by photographer Stevan Maxwell.

Music by Amp Tramp will begin at 6 p.m., along with a live and silent auction and a full bar and food.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at HomewardBound, 2853 North Ave. Call 256-9424 for more information.

Join the feast, and don’t forget your Renaissance garb, while supporting scholarship funds at Mesa State College.

The Renaissance Feast with a feast of food (of course), beer and wine and entertainment will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 in the College Center Ballroom.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased in advance by calling Dana Nunn at 640-0421.

A black tie event hosted by Light of Hope with Debbie Miller will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Mesa State College Grand Ballroom.

“Bring the Light of Your Life” fundraiser includes a formal dinner, live music and a silent auction.
