Brennan makes academic team

Mesa State College women’s basketball player Alaina Brennan made the Academic All-RMAC team, the RMAC announced Wednesday.

The sophomore from Palisade made the honor roll with a 3.33 grade point average in nursing. To qualify for the Academic All-RMAC team, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.30 or better, be a starter or key reserve and have completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution.

Colorado Christian senior Abby Rosenthal was selected the RMAC Academic Player of the Year with a 3.63 GPA in communications.

Wilson holding free seminar

James Wilson of MTB Strength Training Systems is holding a free training seminar at Ruby Canyon Cycles on Jan. 28. The seminar will focus on building technical riding skills through strength training. The seminar will be at 6:30 p.m. For more information call 589-6418.
