Suds n’ Skis coming to Powderhorn

Powderhorn among stops on magazine’s Suds n’ Ski Tour

If Josh Madsen’s world travels have taught him anything it’s that ski towns and ski areas “love beer, music and skiing.”

Madsen, the chief executive officer of Telemark Skier magazine, decided to package those interests for the magazine’s inaugural Suds n’ Ski Tour.

One of the stops on the Colorado tour is Saturday, Dec. 15, at Powderhorn Mountain Resort. The tour includes live music from outlaw country band Lorin Walker Madsen & The Hustlers and a screening of the magazine’s film, “Let’s Go!”

The free events begin at 1:15 p.m. in the lodge with a screening of the movie. There will be live music from 3:30–5:30 p.m.

Powderhorn has pushed its opening day to Saturday, Dec. 15, because of snow conditions. It was scheduled to open Thursday, Dec. 13.
