Texas Tenors, GJ Symphony team for holiday presentation

Cowboys and opera come together for a holiday treat with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.

Holiday Pops with The Texas Tenors will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in the Grand Junction High School auditorium, 1400 N. Fifth St.

A evening of classical repertoire, country standards and holiday hits will be performed by The Texas Tenors, finalists on Season 4 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

Marcus Collins, JC Fisher and John Hagen’s blend of country and classical music has captivated audiences across the country and the trio’s debut CD, “Country Roots/Classical Sound,” is the only album to ever be No. 1 on both the country and classical charts, according to http://www.gjsymphony.org.

Tickets range from $15 to $35 for adults (cost depends on seat) and $10 for students with ID.

For tickets and information, call 243-6787, go to the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra office in the Alpine Bank Building, 225 N. Fifth St., Suite 120, or go to gjsymphony.org.
