The Bar D Wranglers continue tradition of taking show on road

Every summer since 1969, The Bar D Wranglers have performed an old West music stage show with cowboy songs and comedy at the Bar D Chuckwagon Supper Show in Durango.

During the holidays, the family entertainment show goes on the road and comes to Grand Junction with a Christmas Jubilee at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St.

Performers have changed over the years, but the Bar D show has kept its popular appeal, entertaining more than 2 million guests in more than 40 years.

The Bar D Wranglers will sing cowboy harmony Christmas songs, perform high-energy instrumental music and tell stores and jokes suitable for all ages.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $8 for ages younger than 12. Tickets are available at Western Implement, Murdoch’s in Clifton and at Avalon Theatre the night of the performance.
