Two hurt in reported stabbing
A pair of men were hospitalized after a reported stabbing this afternoon on the Redlands.
Mesa County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Mary Gonzales said one man was stabbed, while the second man was found to have injuries from an assault, after authorities responded just after 4 p.m. to a dirt parking lot on Dike Road, near the road’s intersection with D 3/4 Road. Gonzales couldn’t confirm their conditions.
Yellow crime scene tape blocked a parking lot on Dike Road and wrapped around a recreational vehicle, a pickup truck with a camper shell and a white sedan.
A Mesa County Animal Control officer was called to the scene and removed two dogs.
Gonzales said further details were unavailable because an active investigation.
