US Bank Fine Art Auction to showcase area’s best
Mark your calendars now for the US Bank Fine Art Auction, described as the “continuing circle of life that allows The Art Center to stay fresh and funded.”
The Art Auction will take place Friday, May 2, at The Art Center and tickets cost $20 at the door.
Those interested in bidding are invited to visit the galleries from 5–7 p.m. for an opening reception, silent auction and to meet the artists.
The live auction, beginning at 7 p.m., will be conducted by an auction team made up of Lee Borden, a local actor and performer; Natasha Krasnow, a dancer and clay artist; Jill Herbert, of Boots and Lace Auction House; and Dr. Chuck Breaux. The auction committee has themed the evening with a ‘60s flair, a news release said.
The live auction will features 75 pieces of fine art in clay, bronze, glass, painting, printmaking and fiber mediums. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by The Art Center Guild and there will be a cash beer and wine bar.
The event is The Art Center’s largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds going toward funding lectures, exhibition programs and studio programs for all ages.
