Valentine’s theater show offered
“I was wondering if you’d like to go out on Saturday?”
And that’s how “the relationship” starts. But where does it go from there?
The Theater Project will detail that journey during its staging of the comedy musical revue “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 14–16, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at The Theater Project Stage, 835 N. 26th St.
“This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum know as ‘the relationship,’” a news release said.
“Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set,” the release said.
A special Valentine’s Day “Show, Sweets and Spirits” sweetheart package is available for $75 per couple and features two tickets to the Thursday performance, delectable sweets at intermission, chocolate treats from Enstrom’s Candies, a bottle of Garfield Estates Vineyards wine to take home and a special surprise.
Regular tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Reservations are strongly recommended as seating is limited. The show contains adult language and situations and may not be appropriate for children.
