Winter storm warning for northern Colorado

DENVER — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the northern mountains and lower areas near the Wyoming border.

The Colorado Department of Transportation and Wyoming Department of Transportation closed Interstate-25 in both directions between Wellington and Cheyenne on Monday because of blowing snow.

Loveland Pass is also closed near the Eisenhower tunnel in the Colorado mountains.

The weather service says up to a foot of snow is expected for some areas of the Western Slope by Tuesday.
