•  Education should be a partnership between educators, students, parents and the community. We are in a strange political pocket during an era of entitlement where teachers, administrators, and support staff have been abandoned and are met with adversarial attitudes. Good people are leaving the profession — leaving the area.

•  The Metro and the Cabaret close. Cinema at the Avalon closes after receiving “help” from the city. City Council supports the opening of a new strip club in GJ. I guess we all now know what passes for arts and culture in these parts.
