Social Junction: Southwest Arbor Day Fest/Earth Day Celebration

This annual springtime event held Saturday at Lincoln Park featured a jalapeño eating contest, Colorado Craft Beer Expo, vendor booths, tree seedling giveaway, touch-a truck and other activities for kids. Live music was provided by Shea Bramer, The Wrong Impressions and Jack+Jill.

Social Junction: Roice-Hurst’s Woofstock Festival

The Woofstock Festival, a benefit for Roice-Hurst Humane Society to encourage active pets, took place at Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. Several local bands provided entertainment. The event included a walk for well-behaved dogs, their families and activities for children.

The Palisade International Honeybee Festival (PIHF) is a community driven festival created in 2008 to educate the public about the world-wide crisis on colony collapse and to support of a healthy honeybee population worldwide. The Honeybee Festival brings awareness to the honeybee crisis through education and the arts. Our goal is to increase public awareness of the impact of bees on our food sources and the wide range of benefits of bee products.
