How did you get started in the Industry?
We opened Pro Rooter in 2008.
We started Pro Rooter after receiving an (over priced) invoice from another drain cleaning company in town and felt we needed to bring another company to the Grand Valley and offer good service at a reasonable price.
How has the industry changed since you got started?
Pro Rooter acquired Nu Drain trenchless technology in 2010, from Nu Flow, the world’s leading inside infrastructure corporation. Trenchless technology is a cost-effective alternative to traditional dig methods of sanitary pipe replacement, but still offers the structural strength of new pipe.
These techniques keep digging to a minimum, saving home and business owners the mess, lost time and reconstruction costs of digging up root infested or other wise blocked pipes.

What is your most used technique?
The repair works a lot like a stent would in heart surgery. A rubber bladder is cover with an epoxy impregnated felt liner is pulled into place over the broken protion of the pipe. The bladder is inflated causing the liner to confrom to the shape of the pipe. The liner hardens in a few hours and the bladder is removed to leave a brand new pipe-within-a-pipe.
The other trenchless system is the Undertaker, we dig next to the home and at the city tap, we place a 3/4” cable through the existing line and attach a bursting head, then we attached a new High density pipe. The cable and head new line are pulled throught the existing line with 20 ton’s hydroylic pressure. We do this without distirbing sidewalks, lawns, driveway’s etc…
We have three technicians and offer service 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. No extra charge for nights or weekend.
