Unifirst Mortgage is pleased to announce Stewart Cruickshank has joined the Grand Junction home office staff as director of lending services.

This new position was created at Unifirst to further support the recent expansion of the mortgage lending program in Mesa County and Western Colorado. Stewart will work with the local team of six licensed loan officers in enhancing the mortgage program to insure that every mortgage client continues to receive the best and most affordable mortgage available for every type of purchase and refinance transaction.

Originally from the Midwest, Stewart has called Grand Junction home for the past fourteen years. Stewart was most recently in the title industry and is familiar the local real estate market. He has taught classes on short sales, loan fraud and other industry related topics.

Ray Rickard and Jeptha Sheene were among more than 100 commercial real estate professionals to attend the RE/MAX Commercial® World Symposium at RE/MAX headquarters in Denver.

The symposium, Sept. 19-21, attracted both commercial practitioners and industry experts from around the world for two days of education, training and networking.

The most pressing topic was the state of the commercial real estate market today and forecasts for the next several years given the state of the global economy.

Commercial practitioners from around the globe, including Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil and Turkey, were in attendance. Foreign investment is a large factor in the recovering U.S. commercial real estate market.
