Reward in ram’s death
Energy companies Chevron, EnCana and Williams Energy are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person who killed a bighorn sheep ram north of De Beque, according to the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
The DOW was notified Oct. 30 of the ram’s death on private land. It was likely killed between Oct. 25 and Oct. 27 by a single shot to the neck, DOW officials said.
Tipsters with information must testify to receive the $10,000 reward. An additional $1,000 is available for tipsters who wish to remain anonymous.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
• A bicycle valued at less than $200 was taken Monday from the front yard of a home in the 2900 block of North Court.
• A motor home valued at more than $1,000 was taken Monday from 669 U.S. Highway 50.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
• A man in the 1400 block of 12 Road in Loma reported Monday that a thief took items valued at $15,000 to $20,000
• Derek Wayne Parker, 34, 2915 Orchard Ave., No. A35, was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of sexual contact without consent.
