21 dancers take stage at Avalon

Absolute Dance’s show “Absolute Noise” will feature 21 dancers, ranging in age from 8 to 17. The performance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St.

“Absolute Noise,” featuring Absolute Dance’s 2009–2010 Company Repertory Dances, will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St.

The student produced and directed show will feature 21 student company dancers ranging from age 8 to 17. Through “Absolute Noise,” the dancers are learning the business side of putting on a dance performance and are using local sponsorships and ticket sales to cover costs.

“Absolute Noise” will include dances from internationally known guest choreographers as well as local and student choreographers.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students with an SBA card.

Proceeds will be used to help cover costs for traveling to upcoming workshops and competitions with LA Dance Force of Los Angeles and NUVO of New York City.
