JOHNSTOWN — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued an alert for a missing 16-year-old girl who sent computer messages to friends saying she is in trouble.

Jessica Shepherd was last seen at 8 p.m. Tuesday. A few hours later, she sent text messages saying she was in trouble.

Johnstown police say the messages contained information that she was with a guy named “Dave” and was scared. She also said in the messages to “call the police.”
