1 large Red Delicious or Granny Smith apple, cored and cut crosswise into six 1/2-inch thick rings

3 tablespoons Jif Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread

Or 3 tablespoons Jif Mocha Cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut Spread

1/2 cup granola cereal with raisins

Arrange apples rings on serving plates. Spread each ring evenly with 1/2 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread. Lightly press granola into spread. Serve immediately.

The Taste of Home Cooking Show is back in Grand Junction on Nov. 7.

The show, produced by the popular recipe magazine of the same name, comes to town every other year and tickets sell fast.

Culinary Specialist Kristi Larson will prepare dishes before the audience from the stage at Two Rivers Convention Center. She’ll talk about cooking techniques and the latest food trends.

Emcees will be local foodie and Daily Sentinel columnist Dixie Burmeister and radio personality and writer Dave Allgood.

Tickets cost $15 for general admission, $25 for reserved seating and $60 for VIP.

VIP guests will be right in front of the stage. Ticket price includes appetizers, wine and a pre-show meet-and-greet with Larson.

Everyone at the show will get a goodie bag filled with coupons, samples and gifts.

General admission tickets are available at City Market.

All tickets are available at the Sentinel, 734 S. Seventh St. Tickets also may be purchased by sending a check in the mail to the Sentinel.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with fun exhibitor booths and concessions available. The show starts at 7 p.m.
