Meth arrests in Montrose
Three men and two juvenile boys were arrested Tuesday night along 6450 Road in Montrose on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Montrose Police Department.
Jose Ramirez, 27, and Pedro Saldana, 28, both of Olathe, Aurelio Arias, 20, of Delta, and two Olathe teenagers were in a vehicle when officers stopped it, Montrose Police Chief Tom Chinn said.
“Grams” of methamphetamine were in the vehicle, he added.
The three adult men were taken to the Montrose County Jail and given a bond of $60,000. The boys were released to their parents.
Fireworks ticket issued
Dustin Mick Deppen, 36, 2915 Orchard Ave., Unit D-17, was ticketed July 4 on suspicion of unlawful use of fireworks after two sheriff’s deputies accused him of throwing a firecracker at them as they were walking in the 2900 block of Dawn Drive, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
When the deputies found Deppen he reportedly told authorities, “That was a stupid thing to do,” his ticket read.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Denise Marie Johann, 41, 250 North 17th St., was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbery, possession of a controlled substance, harassment, theft of between $50 and $300, violation of bail-bond conditions and violation of a protection order.
■ Yvette Dores, 47, Colleen Reynolds, 60, and Casey Tefertiller, 28, were ticketed Monday on suspicion of trespassing at Emerson Park after hours. James Dugan, 52, was ticketed Monday at Emerson Park on suspicion of possession of alcoholic beverages where prohibited.
■ Julien Lopez-Ruiz, 18, 480 28 1/4 Road, Unit 51, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of illegal consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person and threatening a man in the area of the 500 block of 28 1/2 Road with a baseball bat.
■ Someone stole less than $2,000 of items from a vehicle parked Monday in the 500 block of Heidel Street.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Gary Frigetto, 53, was ticketed Tuesday on suspicion of violating the fire ban for having a controlled burn in the 58000 block of Jasmine Road. Frigetto reportedly said he was aware of the ban.
■ Carole A. McBurney, 43, Montrose, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of DUI, speeding, driving under denial, unlawful use of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a protection order violation.
