6 grocery buggies stolen
On Monday, a man allegedly stole six shopping carts valued at more than $1,000 from Albertsons, 1830 N. 12th St., and Walmart Supercenter, 2881 North Ave., according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Man sought by Utah cops
The Grand County Sheriff’s Department (Utah) is looking for Jeffrey A. Rossi, 21, who was last seen at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Metal Masher/Gemini Bridges area, the Sheriff’s Department said in a release.
Rossi is 6 feet, 130 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He has a “miss understood” tattoo in his spine area, and another tattoo of “ROSSI” and “JRB” with a green background and the numbers 610 on his back.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Donald Leon Manis, 23, 3068 McKenna Court, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving a vehicle with a restrained license.
■ Someone stole less than $1,000 in items Monday for a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Ouray Avenue.
■ Someone assaulted a man Sunday in the area of Cannell Avenue and Glenwood Avenue and stole less than items valued at less than $1,000 from him.
■ Someone caused more than $1,000 in damage June 6 to a vehicle located in the 2300 block of Knoll Circle.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Christopher Raymond Elliot, 21, 424 32 Road, No. 107, and Shawn Douglas Bell, 19, 424 32 Road, No. 378, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of two counts each of first-degree criminal trespass.
Bell also was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and obstructing government operations.
■ A mountain bike valued at $2,600 was reported stolen Friday, after it was taken from a home’s porch in the 100 block of Vista Grande Road, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
■ Deputies were dispatched June 6 to the 2900 block of Ox Bow Road for a vandalism of a Nissan Maxima. The case is being investigated.
■ Deputies were dispatched June 6 to the 600 block of Helena Street for a report of a stolen car stereo. The case is being investigated.
■ A burglary was reported June 3 in the 4900 block of U.S. Highway 50. An estimated $4,400 worth of computers, vehicle parts and a generator were stolen.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:
■ A case of child abuse was reported Tuesday in the 63900 block of Jacaranda Way. An investigation continues.
■ A report of smoke was made Tuesday in the 14000 block of 6355 Road. The person burning was notified of the burn ban and told to extinguish the fire.
