Book trailers recognized by CPA
The book trailer for “Drink It In: Wine Guide of Western Colorado” took first-place for Best Use of Multimedia Advertising in the 2013 Colorado Press Association contest.
The trailer was shot and edited by Daily Sentinel Photo Editor Gretel Daugherty, who featured maps and photos from the book with the music “Flutes of the Heart” by Mesa Music Consort.

Book sale begins Wednesday
The Friends of the Mesa County Libraries’ Spring Book Sale is set for Tuesday through Saturday at the First Congregational Church, 1425 N. Fifth St.
The Friends members only sale will be from 3–7 p.m. Wednesday and memberships will be available for $10 at the door.
The public sales will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The sale will offer a variety of books, DVDs and CDs with proceeds going to the Friends.
Series hosts three writers
Poets & Writers of Colorado Mesa University Reading Series will host T.J. Gerlach, Mechele Hanson and Alana Voth at its next event at 7 p.m. Thursday at Planet Earth & the Four Directions Gallery, 524 Colorado Ave.
The reading is free to the public.
