Home expo comes to convention center
• More than 140 exhibitors will fill Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St., for the 2009 Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo.
The expo hours are 2–7 p.m. March 6, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 7 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 8.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children, $15 for a family.
The expo will have interactive booths, free self-guided custom home tours, information on latest trends and money saving tips for home improvement and remodeling.
Times and locations for the custom home tours will be announced in the Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo official program.
The expo was formerly named the Home, Garden and Patio Show.

Gardens needs vendors for May event
• Crafters and vendors are needed for the Bloomin’ Deals event at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9.

Tree, shrub pruning workshops planned
• Learn about pruning trees and shrubs through four upcoming workshops.
All the workshops are free and are set for March 4, 6, 10, and 11. On March 6, the class will focus on ornamental crabapple trees.
The workshops will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Mesa County Arboretum at the Mesa County Fairgrounds, 2785 U.S. Highway 50.
