Appleton church to have talent show

• Appleton Christian Church, 2510 Interstate 70 Frontage Road, will have its annual “Appleton’s Got Talent” show at 7 p.m. Jan. 31. There will be baked goods and desserts for sale. For information, call 242-7380.

Unitarian sermon: ‘Declaration of Peace’

• The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley will have a 10:30 a.m. sermon Sunday titled “A Declaration of Peace.” It will be presented by Rev. Zakir Lawrence Henson.

Bible study to be offered in two sessions

• Sacred Heart Parish in Fruita will begin a nine-week Bible study “Full of Grace: Women and the Abundant Life Foundational Study.” It will be offered in two sessions, one beginning today and the other Tuesday. Cost is $35 and includes materials. To enroll, call 256-8931.

World Religion Day Fair to be Jan. 18

• The World Religion Day Fair will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 18 at Lincoln Park Barn. Admission is free. Represented religions include Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Judaism, Bahai, Islam and Zoroastrian.
There will be a professional sand-painting demonstration, drum circle and activities for children. For information, call 261-4058.

Spiritual Living Center plans service

• Two Rivers Center for Spiritual Living will have a 10 a.m. service Sunday at 3150 Lakeside Drive, No. 103. Lois Hector will deliver the message, “Whaddaya Know?” Special music will be provided by Jan Weeks.
