Briefs: OA AutoFest June 19, 2009

VW featured class at 34th annual AutoFest to be at Lincoln Park

Vehicles of all kinds — foreign, domestic, antique, classic, custom, rods, motorcycles, tractors and trucks — will be displayed at the 34th annual AutoFest, Saturday and Sunday, June 20–21, at Lincoln Park.

More than 200 vehicles are expected in the show, with the Volkswagen being the featured class. Preregistration has ended, but registration will continue through Saturday morning.

AutoFest is open to car fans from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Trophies and awards will be presented in a variety of categories at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Admission cost is $5 for adults. Children ages 12 and younger get in free. Proceeds benefit Grand Valley Catholic Outreach and Court Aappointed Special Advocacy, or CASA, of Mesa County.
