Centennial Band’s annual concert will be Dec. 15

Hear “The Bells of Christmas” and more at the Grand Junction Centennial Band’s “An American Christmas” concert.

The holiday concert — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St. — celebrates 30 years of performances by the band.

“An American Christmas” will feature guest narrator the Rev. Jim Plough and musical selections for the evening will include “Sleigh Ride,” ” ‘Twas the Night before Christmas,” “Variations on a Shaker Melody,” “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and a musical treat from a trombone quartet.

The Centennial Band is directed by Gary Ambrosier.

Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at Roper Music or from any band member.
