CHEERS! No Worries, Mate

Boomerang

No Worries, Mate

I’m sure I’ve said something about not fruiting the martinis, so it stands without comment that also applies to flavored vodkas.

Still, I often find myself at microbreweries, and not being a big beer drinker, I always look for something else to try.

At Kannah Creek Brewing Co., 1960 N. 12th St., they make several cocktails, one of which is designed to be not too sweet or sour, and keep you drinking more.

Where’s my designated driver?

The drink is made with an orange-tangerine flavored vodka, a lemon-lime soft drink and lime juice (presumably made from limes that did make it across the Mexican border).

Not bad. It reminds me of a Long Island Ice Tea.

Not only will it kick your behind, but with its name, Boomerang, it comes back and does it again. Not sure if that means it has ties to drinks from Down Under, but an Aussie connection not withstanding, it’s not bad.

Bloody oath.
