Glen Edward Butler, 56, Grand Junction, died Sept. 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by burial at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Mr. Butler was a laborer in the oil and gas industry.

Survivors include three brothers, Richard of Oklahoma City, Okla., Leslie of Idaho and Harry; and a sister, Iyona Hill of Wichita, Kan.

Memorial contributions to the LAP Program at Hilltop.

Benita Helen Gullekson, 79, Grand Junction, died Sept. 4, 2012, at Mesa Manor Care Center.

Services will be held at a later date.

Ms. Gullekson was a manager in the medical industry.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Alan Kathman of Frankfurt, Germany; a daughter, Anita Denice Moseman of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Michael Joseph Mahan, 50, Grand Junction, died Sept. 3, 2012, at his home.

A memorial mass will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Martin Mortuary.

Mr. Mahan was an architectural designer.

Survivors include his mother, Carol Greenfield of Grand Junction; a brother, Scott of New Jersey; and a sister, Carol of Santa Rosa, Calif.

Russell K. Parry, 69, Grand Junction, died Sept. 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Mr. Parry was a math teacher.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Garcia, Bob Garcia and Paul Garcia, all of Grand Junction; two daughters, Donna Garcia of Grand Junction and Gloria Coleman of Fort Collins; two sisters, Nancy Taylor of Pinedale, Wyo., and Sally Marciniak of Racine, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bettie J. West, 87, Grand Junction, died Sept. 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services are pending.

Ms. West was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Thomas of Grand Junction; six daughters, Velores Reed of Grand Junction, Cheryl Habliston of Grand Junction, Sonjia Hunt and Rebecca Giles, both of Loma, Shawn West of Denver and Tatti Ann West-Gonzales of Grand Junction; 35 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Norma Bethel Wheeler, 79, formerly of Grand Junction, died Aug. 28, 2012, in Alma, Neb.

A service will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Larry of Orleans, Neb.
