Decision 2016 Choices in life aren’t always easy, so indulge in some “would you rather ..."
Flash of lightning! Rumble of thunder! Ominous fog roils around the rambling old house behind the high iron fence!
Darkness falls, two mighty forces converge in fearsome battle. Lines are drawn, lots are cast. On a day not far away (or maybe too far? How much more can one beleaguered populace take?), a decision must be made: Snickers or Milky Way?
There can only be one, because more than that would be greedy and it doesn’t pay to be that trick-or-treater, the one who peers critically into the candy bowl and asks for something else instead.
Thus, YOU MUST CHOOSE!
But wait! Let’s up the ante, because the Snickers/Milky Way decision is between two excellent things and life, as we’re painfully aware, isn’t always like that. Consider this, then: Would you rather have unlimited free access to a specific candy, but it’s candy corn OR have unlimited free access to the chocolate of your choice, but have to eat a bag of marshmallow circus peanuts before a single bite of chocolate, every time?
These are dark days, folks, as evidenced by the bats and cobwebs and things. Halloween reminds us that choices aren’t always easy or pleasant, and sometimes you just have to ask yourself would you rather…
