Former poet laureate to conduct workshop at library

Poets interested in learning from a pro should consider attending a local workshop with Mary Crow, former Colorado poet laureate.

Crows’ visit to Grand Junction is sponsored by the John McConnell Math and Science Center, the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum and Mesa County Libraries.

From noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Central Library, Crow will lead the writing workshop “Poetry Exercises with Mary Crow.”

Crow has written and published five collections of poetry and has had hundreds of her poems appear in magazines.
