Glade Park setting for cowboys’ poetry

Guys and gals, it’s time to get that hitch out of your git along at the second-annual Glade Park Cowboy Poetry Festival Saturday, July 13.

The evening event will feature poetry by Terry Nash and Donnie Wynkoop, and music and song by Al Alberson, Deb Bukala and Peggy Malone. It also will include a barbecue dinner.

The festival is a benefit fund-raiser for the non-profit Glade Park Community Services, Inc.

The barbecue dinner will be at 6 p.m. behind the community services building on 16.5 Road in Glade Park, 2/10 of a mile north of the Glade Park Store. Performances will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $15 per person and $7.50 for children under 8, and are available at City Markets and at the gate. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and a jacket, and to leave pets at home.

For more information, call Roger Dingman at 263-4803 or Joanie Dahlen at 243-8224.
