Hearing Loss Association plans Saturday meeting
A free monthly meeting of the Western Colorado Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Center for Independence, 740 Gunnison Ave. in Grand Junction.
The topic is telephones and alerting devices, specifically phones with amplification and captions and alerting devices, which let people with hearing loss know about their environment.
The program will be presented by Joanne Stamp, ALS program manager, and Denice Roberts, ALS program coordinator, from the Center for Independence.
An induction hearing loop will be available. The meeting is also captioned, thanks to a grant from the Colorado Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing,
All meetings are free to members and non-members, including family and friends.
