Spin-a-Thon for MS scheduled
The MS Spin-a-Thon will take place April 6 at Gold’s Gym locations in Grand Junction, Clifton and Montrose.
Anyone can sign up for an hourlong slot in the Spin-a-Thon for $25 at http://www.goldsgymMSspin.com. Certified instructors will lead spin classes at 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:40 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Each gym can accommodate 24 to 28 spinners per hour.
The event will benefit local programs and services for people with multiple sclerosis. Participants are asked to register by March 27.
Surgical assistants complete training
Three surgical assistants from Grand Junction Oral Surgery Associates, 2532 Patterson Road, Suite 10, completed an American Dental Society of Anesthesiology course recently in Las Vegas.
Assistants Kim Taylor and Pamela Versluis completed the training course for assistant sedation and anesthesia for the third time and Shannon Petty completed the course for the first time.
