Physical therapy center joins PCP
The Physical Therapy Specialty Center is now a division of Primary Care Partners.
The specialty center has been located in the Primary Care Partners building at 3150 N. 12th St. since 2004 but was operated separately from PCP. The practice has seven physical therapists who will remain on staff and continue to see patients from all doctors in the Grand Junction area.
Free health screenings for men
All Sam’s Club locations will host free men’s health screenings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8.
Tests that will be offered will measure blood pressure and body mass index, test for prostate-specific antigen and thyroid-stimulating hormone levels and check vision.
Stroke, sleep apnea class today
Nurse Kelly Arnold, stroke coordinator for St. Mary’s Hospital, will speak about the link between obstructive sleep apnea and stroke at a free educational seminar from 5:30 to 6:30 tonight.
The seminar will take place at Hospice Care Center, 3090B N. 12th St., in Conference Room 101 on the lower level. Preferred Homecare is sponsoring the event. For more information, contact Preferred Homecare at 257-1565.
