Holiday open house at senior centers
Hilltop’s Holiday Cup of Cheer Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday will feature an open house at The Commons of Hilltop, 625 27 1/2 Road, and guided tours at The Cottages of Hilltop next to The Commons and The Fountains of Hilltop at 3203 North 15th St.
Representatives from Hilltop Home Care will be at the open house to answer questions about services they provide for independent living residents, and Senior Daybreak staff will be available to discuss care options for people with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
The open house is free and open to anyone. Attendees will receive a free gift and will be entered in a drawing for a deluxe gift basket. Snacks and hot beverages will be provided. Call 243-3333 for more information.
CNA classes begin next month
Certified nurse aide classes begin Jan. 14 at the Western Colorado Area Health Education Center, 744 Horizon Court, Suite 220.
The six-week course costs $945, although qualified applicants may be eligible for tuition reimbursement through the Mesa County Workforce Center. Classes take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Call 434-5474, extension 2, for more information or to enroll.
