Community offers diabetes classes

Community Hospital offers a new series of diabetes-education classes from 10 a.m. to noon on the first four Thursdays of each month. The two-hour classes involve certified diabetes educators teaching participants how to take care of themselves in effective and healthy ways. The program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association.

Participants need a physician’s order to attend the classes. Call 256-6378 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Women’s Health Care to add physician

Pamela S. Williams, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, will begin practicing Jan. 16 at Women’s Health Care of Western Colorado, P.C.

Williams previously worked for Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho. She received her doctorate in osteopathic Medicine in 2003 from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and she is an adjunct faculty member at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Wash.
