Mesa County to show ‘American Pride — County Wide’
Show your “American Pride — County Wide” at the 126th annual Mesa County Fair from Tuesday, July 16 through Saturday, July 20, at the Mesa County Fairgrounds, 2785 U.S. Highway 50.
The fair is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m.–11 p.m. Saturday.
The carnival opens at 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Fireworks Extravaganza is 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, weather permitting.
Ongoing music and entertainment will be on the Celebration Stage, and there will be a variety of fun contests for kids and adults plus, food and drink vendors.
Highlights of this year’s fair are:
■ “Wolves of the World” everyday in Expo Park
■ 4-H and FFA exhibits as well as the open class exhibits
■ Collin Raye in concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday
■ PBR Rodeo Thursday night
■ Working Ranch Rodeo Friday night (Mutton Bustin’ for the little cowpokes prior to the rodeo)
■ Demolition Derby Saturday night
Daily admission to the fair is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children. Week passes range from $5–$15. Ages 2 and younger are free. While most events are free with gate admission, some grandstand events are subject to additional ticket charges.
